Congratulations to our Jazz Funk Band who took part in the Battle of the Bands competition that was organised by Sunderland City Council.   As the only Jazz Funk Band taking part in the competition they did well in being awarded joint first place with a group from Houghton Kepier school.  

 

Well done to all who took part; Tom Lavender on the keyboard and Sam Metcalf-Young on the Congas (both aged 13), Adam Robinson on Bass, Nathan Oliver and Mark Morley on Guitar (all aged 15) and Amy Johnson on the Drums (aged 16).  Gaynor Stewart represented the Sixth Form on the Saxaphone (aged 17).  Thanks too to Miss Frayne and Mr Hepburn!
