Rock Band Night - 27.11.2006

Highlights included a rousing rendition of Bon Jovi’s “Shot Through the Heart” , with Michael Tait (Year 10) at the microphone and a moving performance of Oasis’ “Wonderwall” sung by Samuel Ameobi (also year 10). All of the pupils performed to a very high standard, however, for sheer gusto and stage presence, Christian Swalewell’s version of the Elvis classic “Hound Dog” deserves special praise. Funds were raised to provide instruments and equipment to further develop the Music Department and, in recognition of the date of the concert, the school will be donating part of the proceeds to “Children in Need".
