The Over 13 Group Competition was won by our year 10 girls – Zoe Mitchie, Georgina Lawrence, Ellye Robinson, Hannah Dobinson, Lauren Henderson and Abigail Swan.

 

Georgina and Zoe also won silver medals in the over 13 girls’ pairs and Hannah and Lauren won bronze medals in the same category.

 

Tom Johnson and Lauren Henderson won gold medals in the over 13 mixed pairs, and Tom also won a gold medal in the over 13 boys’ pairs with Jon Braviner.

 

Tom Williamson and Katherine Shepherd won gold medals in the under 13 mixed pairs category.

 

All the gold medal winners go on to represent the North of England at the National Finals in Stoke on 2^nd May.

 

From the primary department, Jacob Lawson and David Richardson won bronze medals in the under 11 boys pairs, and in the under 11 mixed pairs Dan Johnson and Leah O’Neill also won bronze medals.

 

All our gymnasts did really well (all the seniors who took part in the competition won gold medals!), and for a small school to have so many national finalists is amazing!  Thanks go to Mrs Henderson, Mrs Dobinson and all the coaches who have worked with our gymnasts.  We hope they do well in Stoke.
