RUGBY SCHOLARSHIPS AT GRINDON HALL
Rugby at Grindon Hall
Grindon Hall Christian School, an independent school in Sunderland, is offering a small number of Rugby scholarships which will take effect in September 2009.
Grindon Hall is committed to excellence in Rugby and although still in the early stages of development – the school has only existed in its current form for eight years – we already have a very strong fixture list. Mr Michael Maughan, our Director of Sport, is leading an ambitious Rugby development programme, and these scholarships are a key part of that.
What is on offer?
Scholarships will represent a fee reduction of between 25% and 50%. Normal fees are currently £6,300 per year.
Could you be a successful candidate?
Successful candidates will be:
Outstanding Rugby players with an excellent playing record or very clear potential
Prepared to be available whenever selected to represent the schoolAble to demonstrate a positive attitude to school life, with a very good record of behaviour and attendance
Prepared to commit themselves fully to life in a school whose core values are respect, integrity, courtesy and honesty, and whose expectations of all pupils are extremely high in the areas of work, uniform, behaviour and attitude
Prepared to sign on to a Rugby culture in which total commitment and a will to win combine with respect for the rules of the game, for opponents and for the referee’s authority. Grindon Hall Rugby Scholars will be expected to be impeccable role models in this area.
For further information, please contact Mr C J Gray (Principal) or Mr M Maughan (Director of Sport) on (0191) 5344444. Parents and prospective pupils are always welcome to visit the school to see what Grindon Hall has to offer.
