If you wish to register your child with the school, you should request a prospectus on line or from the school office.  The prospectus will contain a registration form.  A registration fee of £50 is payable when the registration form is returned.  This fee is not returnable and does not guarantee a place for your child.  Where a place is available, your child will be invited to attend an Admissions Day.  The format and length of this day will vary according to age group.  Senior pupils will be asked to complete a number of tests and will be interviewed by a member of the school’s senior management team.

 

When a place has been offered following the Admissions Day, a deposit becomes payable.  The deposit is £150 and will be deducted from the pupil’s final account at the end of his/her time at Grindon Hall.

 

A full term’s notice is required if a pupil is to leave the school.  This also applies if a place is accepted and later cancelled.

 

All parents/guardians with children in school at the start of the academic year will receive an account for the year’s fees.  These may be paid in three equal parts by the first day of each term; monthly by 10 or 12 instalments paid by standing order; or annually in advance, in which case a small discount is given. 

 

 

 

The above fees include all tuition and resources required in school.  Not included are uniform, use of the school bus to travel to and from school, and school trips.  Uniform is purchased directly from the school’s uniform supplier in central Sunderland (some second hand uniform items are always available in school and can be bought very reasonably).  Charges for school buses are billed termly.  School trips are charged separately at the time. 

 

Pupils from Year 5 upwards are strongly encouraged to attend a residential event organised every year.  An indicative cost for such trips is £300.

 

Where two or more brothers and sisters are pupils at Grindon Hall at the same time, the following discounts will apply.

                          

Two children	The older receives a 10% discount
Three children	The oldest receives a 20% reduction, the middle child a 10% discount
Four children	The oldest receives a 30% discount, the next a 20% discount, the third child a 10% reduction
Five or more children	Ask for details!

              

At the discretion of the school’s Finance Committee, a 10% discount may be offered to the children of Christian ministers or of others employed full-time in Christian work.
